12 & UNDER SCHOLARSHIP
Hard work, continued dedication and
enthusiasm are essential for young dancers in today's world. These are
the characteristics that Michael DelBianco loved to see in the
performances he judged from 1988-1995 before we lost him to AIDS on
October 3, 1995.
It is based on these criteria that we
will award the Michael R. Del Bianco Memorial
Scholarship at this
year's National Competitions.
13 & OVER SCHOLARSHIP
Love of dance and a passion for performing were among the multiple characteristics that describe Morgan Judd. We lost Morgan to a brain aneurism on December 6, 2011 but she will forever be part of our Rising Star Family.
These qualities will be a major criteria during the Morgan L. Judd Memorial Scholarship auditions. The scholarship will be not only based on talent, but also the joy that the participant shows in their dancing.
These awards are $150.00 scholarships to enhance the winner's dance education.
The scholarship recipients will be
decided by judges observing performers during a scholarship
audition class held during our National
Competitions. We are very proud to give these scholarships to honor
the fact that these two individuals touched
our lives and made the dance world a better place. We
wish all of you the best of luck in striving for this award. Dancer must be present to receive
