Hard work, continued dedication and enthusiasm are essential for young dancers in today's world. These are the characteristics that Michael DelBianco loved to see in the performances he judged from 1988-1995 before we lost him to AIDS on October 3, 1995.

It is based on these criteria that we will award the Michael R. Del Bianco Memorial Scholarships at this year's National Competitions. This summer, we will award a scholarship to one dancer 12 & Under and one dancer 13 & Over at the competition.

The award includes up to a $100.00 scholarship to a dance convention of your choice as well as an additional $50.00 in convention expenses. This package must be used by the end of the year that it is presented.

The scholarship recipients will be decided by judges observing performers during a scholarship audition class held during our National Competitions. We are very proud to give these scholarships on behalf of the Del Bianco Family and Rising Star. We wish all of you the best of luck in striving for this award.
